Sorry guys, we still don't have enough ice to safely hold a race, so race 2 for the 21st is cancelled. Keep your fingers crossed that we'll finally get a week or two of cold enough weather to get to the 10 inches of ice we need.

RACE 1 CANCELED
Guys our first race date for Januray 7th is canceled due to weather conditions. this race will be made up February 11.
That makes our first race date for January 21!
Now everyone will have an extra couple of weeks to get those race sleds ready!! safe travels and a happy new year everyone!
Stud Boy Cup during Lakeview Winterfest.
Stud Boy Traction Products and BEVRA are pleased to annouce the 1st Annual Stud Boy Cup to be held during Lakeview's Winterfest on February 4th.
Stud Boy will provide the 1st place traveling trophy plus a permanent plaque for the winner to keep. The traveling trophy will be in the winners possesion until the Fall membership meeting at which point it is returned. All entrants will agree to pay replacement cost of the trophy if it is not returned to BEVRA in as received condition. BEVRA will pay back 100% of the entry fees in stock D to the Top 3 finishers for this one event only to add to incentive and prestige of the event.
Stock D will be the class, that choice allows Stock C Fan and FA's, 500cc FA's and Fanners and up to 440cc single piped LC's to compete giving the most possible entries for the event.
The format for the Cup is as follows to get to the 10 sled final. (8 sleds front row, 2 in a 2nd row)
The Cup races will consist of 4 Heat races ( 3 laps) 2 Semi Finals ( 5 laps) 1 Last Chance Qualifier (3 laps) Final (7 laps)
Each heat race winner advances directly to the final. (4 sleds) 2-4 place goes to the semi, last place finisher goes to Last Chance qualifier.
Semi Finals top 3 in each semi final go to final to fill out the front row. (6 sleds)
Last chance Qualifier, top two will start final in the 2nd row.
The final will be 7 laps and will run at the end of the day.
This should be a fun event for you guys to compete for, Jeff Pattyn from Stud Boy plans be on hand to present the winner the trophy.
We'll update will more details as we get closer to race date.

All races held on Tamarack Lake in Lakeview MI, just 40 mins north of Grand Rapids on M-46 East.
Registration opens at 8 am till 11 am. Hot Laps at 9:30am till 11 am. Drivers Meeting at 11:45 am Racing starts at Noon.
Special Race coming for the Lakeview Winterfest.

Point System
Once again BEVRA will be doing the High Points Championship. All Points will be accumulated through out the year and who ever has the most points at the end of the year wins.
Couple of changes this year on how points are awarded. First to ensure heat laps are being run everyone who completes there Heat Race will receive 1 bonus point. If your heat race is not finished, the bonus point will not be awarded and will have to start in the second row during finals.
Also points during finals are based on how many sleds are involved in the race. EX. if there are 6 sleds racing First place will receive 6 points plus there bonus point if they finished there heat race.
