BEVRA will be hosting it's Spring Meeting and Banquet on Saturday April 20th at McKenna's Village Tavern and Restaurant in Lakeview.
The General meeting begins at 4pm and will go to approx 6pm.
The awards banquet begins around 6pm and goes till Greg makes us leave..

End of the 2013 oval season.
Holy TKO Batman, what a tremendous season we've had this year, just when you think the racing can't get any better, it does.
197 entries hit the ice this past weekend in 30 classes. We had many new faces and some new winners to boot.
Once again, the hard work put in by the McKenna's, Pitchers, Taylors, Harris' and all the others in Lakeview that make our races happen each time we race there, gave us a great track despite Mother Natures best efforts earlier in the week to stop us from enjoying this great sport. While the track started to give up on us during the day, the racers showed true heart and soul as they adapted to the conditions and showed their skills. Very good racing all day and fun to watch.

BIG weekend of racing in Lakeview!
What do you get when you cross BEVRA vintage racing with the town of Lakeview, throw in a vintage snowmobile show, a beer tent, live music, fireworks and the happy return of the Loch Ness green monster? You get WinterFest, and boy howdy, what a time it was, as 195 entries took to the perfectly smooth icey oval to battle in 33 classes including the 10 lap Stud Boy Cup won by Hudsonville's Todd Krikke over Kevin Flannery taking second with Dave Chappell rounding out the podium.
It was a great weekend of great fun and here are your class winners..although I would wager, everybody felt like a winner when the day end.

Racing comes back to Lakeview!!!
Hey all, what a great day for racing our first race in Lakeview turned out to be. Snow in the morning, sunshine in the afternoon and and a high around 10 degrees, but the racing was HOT!!.
Greg Mckenna and his buds provided us with an awesome track to race on. Next time you see Greg, please remember to say thanks! Numbers were down a bit, but we still had a great showing and saw some very close racing in our stock, superstock and mod classes, we also were entertained by JJ Longton showing us how fast a twin tracker can get around the track, as JJ drove Dan Dantuma's twin tracker in SuperMod IFS. Very cool indeed. We also had a great turnout of Jr Novice racers as 5 youngsters ripped up the oval, and our ladies classes have been growing this year as well. Good things are happening in our little association and it's fun to watch.

Round 3 results Saturday 1/26/13 @ Whiskey Creek
We had another wild round of racing with lots of thrills and a few spills, with 196 entries in 28 classes that took the green at Whiskey Creek. The track was well prepped and the racing took place with alternating sun and then lake enhanced snowfall, truely a beautiful day of racing. Even saw a bald eagle flying overhead.

Round 2 this Saturday 1/19/13 POSTPONED
Sorry guys, we are postponing the race for this Saturday until 2/2/13.
Cold weather is coming, but we are going to go with a cautious approach this weekend and move this race out to 2/2/13.
We will race next weekend at the Whiskey Creek track and then be in Lakeview for the month of February.
Sorry but it's always best to error on the side of caution.

Round 1 at Whiskey Creek
A beautiful day of racing was had by all as BEVRA was honored to put on the 1st race in more than 30 years at the historic Whiskey Creek track. Our hats are off to the Chad and Dan and the entire Whiskey Creek crew for building a fun and challenging race track. We had 168 entries, over 90 sleds and a HUGE crowd or spectators, and TV coverage from Fox 32 out of Cadillac. Snowmobile racing has come back to Whiskey Creek and it was awesome!!

Continue on US-10 W until M-37/US-10 W, take a right
Take a left onto US-10 West
Continue on US-10 W until Wallahalla Road, take a left (follow sign)
Continue on Wallahalla Road, road will go curve left, continue straight
At stop sign, Hawley Road, take a right
Continue on Hawley Road until Woods Trail, take a left (follow sign)
Continue on Woods Trail until road merges into Sippy Road continue to address

Adam Fricke and Flannery Performance Win the Jim Adema Memorial Cup
Wow, what a scorcher of a day. The racing was for sure way hotter, but boy it was brutal. Thanks to all the competitors that showed up and ran with us. You are all top notch competitors and sportsman.
Congratulations to Adam Fricke and the Flannery Performance team for their win in the Jim Adema Memorial Cup race, edging out Steve Hugenell, James Naldolny and Mike Bayne in a great feature race.
Adam Fricke cut a killer .455 RT and 6.161 ET to edge out Steve Hugenell's .663 Rt and 6.048 ET to win with a total time of 6.616 to 6.711. What a way to end the days racing with a great 4 sled final. Awesome.

Finally, the ICE RACING has come back to Lakeview and the BEVRA racers did their best to TEAR IT UP!!!!!

Twenty-eight racers competed for the Stud Boy Cup, after working through a series of hotly contested heat races, semi finals and a pair of LCQ races where the winner advanced to the final, the awesomely fast Polaris TX440 of Tim Hutchison held off the Polaris of Aaron Giles and the Yamaha of Zach Noteboom in an awesome race that was full of tough battles all over the track.

Point System
Once again BEVRA will be doing the High Points Championship. All Points will be accumulated through out the year and who ever has the most points at the end of the year wins.
Couple of changes this year on how points are awarded. First to ensure heat laps are being run everyone who completes there Heat Race will receive 1 bonus point. If your heat race is not finished, the bonus point will not be awarded and will have to start in the second row during finals.
Also points during finals are based on how many sleds are involved in the race. EX. if there are 6 sleds racing First place will receive 6 points plus there bonus point if they finished there heat race.

Formed by racers of varying backgrounds which include; Ice Ovals, Drag Racing, and Sno-Cross, each board member has contributed their personal knowledge and talents to help create what we feel is the best vintage racing circuit in Michigan, with the most complete and fair rules, BEVRA will continue to strive to fulfill the racers need for a safe and fun filled yet highly competitive racing experiance.
