[b]2010 Great Lakes Grass Drag Championship Rules [/b]


[b]General Competition and Safety Rules [/b]

All competitors must be a current BEVRA or one day BEVRA member.

All 2010 season members in good standing are considered current. One event memberships are available for $10.00, full season memberships available for $40.00.

Unless otherwise specified, all classes are for 1985 model year and older mass-produced full bodied production snowmobiles.
Engines must be naturally aspirated. No Fuel Injection, or other power adders..(ie: NOS, turbos, etc)
IFS model sleds will be allowed in all respective CC classes unless otherwise specified.
No IFS, TSS or laydown style sleds are allowed in the Mod 440 Adema/Koomen Memorial Cup class.
All snowmobiles must have a working tether switch, attached to driver or mechanic whenever the snowmobiles engine is running. Failure to comply may result in expulsion from event without refund of entry fees.
Clean out stands with side enclosures required. No lifting of sleds to clean out.
Traction limit is no higher three quarters of an inch (3/4”) over the highest part of the track.
All sleds must have a secured snowflap.
All sleds must have operable brakes.
All classes except Open Mod must have full bodywork.
All drivers are required to wear a SNELL approved helmet with eye protection.
All drivers are required to wear a ISR approved competition safety jacket (saf-jac, tec-vest, beewear etc)
All driver are required to wear full length pants, long sleeve shirts recommended.

All class winners can be post race teched for bore and stroke. The Adema/Koomen Cup will have mandatory post race tech for bore and stroke and validity of class requirements. Any driver refusing post race tech will be disqualified. BEVRA will be using these guidelines for maximum engine displacement in each class.

Allowed displacement is as follows.

340cc = 358cc
400cc = 420cc
440cc = 464cc
500cc = 525cc
800cc = 836cc

These are the maximum allowed displacement, and will be verified via bore scissors gage and digital micrometer.

Jr. Class - 0-340cc Fan and F/A
Fan Stock Single 0-400cc
Fan Stock - 0-340cc, 0-440cc, Open
F/A Stock - 0-340cc, 0-440cc, Open
L/C Stock - O-340cc, 0-440cc, Open
F/C MOD Single 0-400cc
F/A MOD- 0-340cc, 0-440cc, 0-650cc, Open
L/C MOD - 0-340cc, 0-440cc, 0-650cc, Open
Barnstormer - 0-800cc Fan 1974 and older.
Adema Cup - 0-440cc L/C and 0-500cc F/A




Remember, these classes are similar to our winter classes, but not exactly like our winter classes. No cleated tracks allowed on sleds that make over 65 hp or on any mod sleds due to insurance regulations.

Drivers can bump a sled into additional stock classes only for a $10.00 bump fee.
